The learning never stops!

Outdoor Education Trip (Middle School)

Most years, we head up to Bailey, Colorado for an overnight camp. We will have two days for the staff at Id-Ra-Ha-Je to teach students skills such as: orienteering, compass skills, archery, animal tracking, rock climbing and low ropes team building. Weather permitting, we hope to even have a hayride and campfire! This is an optional, but highly encouraged experience where kids can learn leadership skills and bond with their classmates.

Pumpkin Math (Elementary)

Near the end of October, we spend the morning using our math skills on a pumpkin. We predict, guess, estimate and describe each step of the way. This activity is a fun, hands-on approach to math.

Field Trips

Elementary - It is our goal to incorporate learning from the classroom with learning outside the classroom. This has been done through trips to the zoo as we studied animal habitats or to the National Western Stockshow when we studied Colorado history. Each year we offer 3 field trips to our students.

Middle School - Middle School field trips include an optional annual outdoor ed field trip, a trip to AmeriTowne or International Towne, depending on the year, and an end-of-the year celebratory outing. Additional school-led field trips may be scheduled. Middle schoolers also have opportunities to attend many parent-led outings throughout the year.

Holidays Around the World  K-8

Everyone celebrates and in December, we spend the morning learning about 4 countries and how those cultures celebrate. Many of the other cultures have customs that America has adopted and incorporated into our holiday celebrations. Students learn to appreciate and respect other cultures through stories, crafts and a taste of their food.

Science Fair (Middle School)

Who doesn't love a Science Fair?!

Every other year, our middle school students get to show off what they've learned.

We love Science!

Dr. Seuss Day (Elementary)

Dr. Seuss made a great impact on children's reading and learning so we celebrate him in March, the month of his birth. On this day, all class work and activities are centered around Dr. Seuss and his crazy antics of reading and writing.

AmeriTowne (3rd-8th) and International Towne (5th-8th)

Every other year we attend one of these awesome field trips!

Cinco de Mayo (Elementary)

As we complete our Spanish unit for the year, we end with a traditional festive celebration. The morning is spent making sopapillas, making crafts, and of course a hat dance

Eighth Grade Commencement
End of Year Party  (Middle School)

A chance to celebrate our eighth graders AND the end of the school year!
